If you need to translate an existing help project into a different language, you can create a copy of the original help project and translate titles, topics, and other texts in it.

Create a Help Project Copy

To create a copy of the original help project that will be translated into a different language:

1.Click the File tab, and then click Save As.

2.In the right side, select the format in which you want to save the help project.

3.In the Save As dialog, select the directory in which you want to save the help project.

4.Click Save.

Remark: Alternatively, you can create a copy of the original help project by using Windows Explorer or another file manager program.

Synchronization of a Translated Help Project

When the original help project has changes (for example: new topics added, existing topics updated, and outdated topics removed), you will need to update the translated help project as well.

The Project Merge tool (File|Merge) includes the Project Synchronization capability that allows you to compare the source and destination help projects and select the Merge Mode (for example: Add as New, Replace by Context, etc.) for new topics and already existing topics automatically.

Also, the Project Merge tool allows you to mark the topics which are missing in the source help project, so you can identify and delete the outdated topics in the translated help project as well.
