Customize the Modern Blue template

I would like to use the Modern Blue template, but customize the colors of the backgrounds. How can I do that?

To modify the background of the template:

  1. On the Write tab, in the Page Layout group, click Page Properties.
  2. In the dialog, click Background and specify the the desired settings (color, etc.).
  3. Click OK.

To modify the background of the tables contained in the template.

  1. Put the text cursor into the table cell to select it for editing.
  2. On the Layout tab, click Properties.
  3. In the dialog, on the Table tab, you can click Background to change the background of the entire table. Or, on the "Selected Cells" tab, you can click Background to change the background of the selected cells.
  4. Click OK.

Remark: Please note that the "Modern Blue" template contains a table with nested tables, so some of the background colors can be defined for a parent table.

If necessary, you can select cells in a parent table by moving the text cursor with the arrow keys on the keyboard. Or, you can simply select the cells in a nested table and change their background color.

Can you please look at the Simple Black template? It seems like it does not store the colors within a template. How can I customize the color in this case?

The "Simple Black" template uses a non-scrolling area that you can edit by clicking at:
