Disable auto-numbering function in PDF document?

I have created a PDF document with HelpSmith by importing a Word file (.DOCX). HelpSmith automatically adds the numbering for chapters and sections, but in the original document I already have the numbering for my TOC items.

Is it possible to disable the auto numbering function?

To disable the auto numbering for chapters and sections

On the Project tab, click Project Options.
In the Project Options window, in the left sidebar, click Printed Manual.
In the Outline Levels box, click on the levels for which you need to disable the numbering.
In the Level dialog, uncheck the option: Show outline numbering for this level.
Click OK.
