Insert the HTML code of the video into a topic

To insert a YouTube video into a topic, you can use the HelpSmith's "Insert HTML Code" feature:

  1. On YouTube, right-click on the video, and then copy its HTML code.
  2. In HelpSmith, on the Insert tab, click HTML Code|Insert HTML Code.
  3. In the Edit HTML Code dialog, paste the code by pressing Ctrl+V.
  4. Click Insert.

How to specify the size of the video container

If you need to change the size of the video container, you can edit the values of the width and height attributes directly in the code.

Regarding the output formats

Please note that remote videos that are located on a video hosting (YouTube, etc.) will work in HTML-based documentation formats only, such as HTML Help (CHM) and Web Help.
