Spell checker for multiple languages

I'm using HelpSmith that includes spell checker dictionaries for English and French languages.

But while the spell checker works for topics written in English, it does not seem to highlight misspelled words in French.

How do I make the spell checker work for both languages?

2. Ensure the text in a topic has a proper Language attribute

The Language of the selected text is displayed on the status bar at the bottom of the HelpSmith window.

The spell checker uses the Language attribute used by the text to determine which of the selected dictionaries should be used for this text.

In other words, the Language attribute of the text should correspond to the language of the dictionary that you want to use for it.

To change the Language attribute of an entire topic:

  1. Press Ctrl+A to select all the text in a topic.
  2. Double-click on the Language section in the status bar.
  3. In the Language dialog, select the language that you need.
  4. Click OK.
