We are evaluating different help authoring tools and we like the features (such as batch compilation, build tags, image annotations, etc.) offered by HelpSmith, which can be useful for our documentation. I would like to learn more about customization options that HelpSmith provides to design the style of our help files and manuals.

When I click Project>Compile in HelpSmith to produce a web help system, it opens the generated help system in the browser and everything works fine. But if I launch the generated index.htm file manually in Windows explorer, some functions do not seem to work. I have created a .CHM help file and copied it to our network, so my co-workers could check it out. However, when they open the .CHM file, they can see the list of topics on the Contents tab (i.e. in the TOC), but not the content of the topics. When clicking on any topic, no content is displayed on the right side. What am I doing wrong?

I've hidden a topic by selecting the "Hidden" option in the topic properties dialog. In the compiled help file, the topic is not visible in the Contents tree, but I can still access it via the Search tab. How can I fix this?

I would like to change the folder name that stores the images of my HelpSmith project. How do I set the new path/name for the media folder, so the images will appear in the help project.
